More than 70 years after the filming of The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy’s faithful canine companion, Toto, may finally get the ultimate homage. A local Kennel Club chairwoman has convinced her state representative to introduce a bill that designates the cairn terrier, Toto’s breed, as the official dog of Kansas, Dorothy’s home state.
